Zero Pain Tolerance

Sandwich Review in NYC #6 (Moe's Pastrami & Burger)

Biked to Prospect Park. Got a medium brisket on rye with mustard. Gravy to dip it in. Added a strawberry milkshake for decadence.

I always compare brisket or pastrami to Katz. Would I eat this over a Katz brisket, which I rate as a 3? I think I would. The meat quality is similar but this one doesn't tear apart as easily as Katz bread, the mustard is already on the sandwich, and there's a gravy dip to boot. You get points for neatness, all else equal.

moes brisket

4/4. It's an elite sandwich.

Strawberry shake was so-so and I struggled to finish it. I already had my regrets when I saw that bubble-gum pink color from the machine. Good strawberry shakes are a light pink and aren't way too sweet in an artificial kind of way. Good thing I don't rate them on milkshakes.

I have re-configure my ratings.

I decided to downgrade Defonte's to a 3. All other ratings have stayed the same.

Some notable 4's from past trips: Little Kirin, Shelsky's, Russ and Daughter's, Bread & Spread, Cheeky, Alidoro

Some notable 3's from past trips: Katz, Mr. Banh Mi, Sophie's Cuban, Kotti Berliner Doner Kebab, Chef Katsu, Textbook

Some notable 2's, from past trips: Wegman's, Hanco's, Dave's Hot Chicken, Pio Bagel, Potbelly's, Shorty's

I don't have a lot of past 1's. Maybe this one random chicken sandwich I got at a Door Dash ghost kitchen called Aria's fried korean chicken sandwich. The chicken was hard to bite into but not crunchy either... not good.
