Sandwich Review in NYC #37 (Arberia)

Totally random place that I didn't seek out but was close to my uncle-in-law, whom we were visiting out in Bensonhurst. It's an Albanian joint and even though I have a no-burgers rule, I will count this as a sandwich because it doesn't resemble a traditional North American hamburger.

It's called a Pleskavica. Burger (lamb/beef/pork combo patty) on homemade pita bread with lettuce, cabbage, onions, tomato, cucumber, homemade mayo. Looks like this:

It's pretty good. Kinda reminds me of the doner kebab sandwich with the veggies and flatbread. Strong mediterranean flavor. Rating: 3/4
