Sandwich Review in NYC #30 (Sophies)
I've been eating sandwiches at Sophies since I have arrived here. My first lunch there was with G-Man and some of the other trainees way back in 2012 maybe. I don't remember what we talked about--probably just chitchat about that morning's trades.
I always order the same sandwich here--the pernil with a twist. Toasted Cuban bread, slow roasted mojo pork, marinated onions, mayo, with Sophie's signature green sauce on the side.
Rating: very strong 3. It's as good as I remember it but when I compare it to the bread I had at Cuban Shack, it's the relative weak spot. Just a little on the soggy side. It's just barely shy of a 4.
