Sandwich Review in NYC #20 (Daily Provisions)
Daily Provisions on Court Street--got the Lumberjack Sandwich, as recommended by the NYT's 57 Sandwiches that Define NYC. Excerpt below:
Here's the one I got.
Very decadent. You're basically eating a donut with eggs and bacon. I do love all those things and it hits multiple flavor intersections--sweetness of the maple cruller, savory/salty bacon with crunchy texture, creaminess of an egg yolk. The homemade bacon was excellent. While absolutely worth trying, I'd only order this only occasionally because it's almost a little too much for a breakfast sandwich. 3/4 rating.
The sandwich was gone in like 2 minutes and I spent another hour just writing and sipping on coffee. The current draft I'm working on, I basically decided the entire approach I took from a few weeks ago is subpar and I have to scrap it and start fresh. That's always fun.
Happy New Year to anyone reading this. Good luck trading in 2025. I currently have no goals, I don't plan on reviewing my year (I'd rather review 2023 first, if I do). I'm still in this limbo where I lack clarity on what I want to do going forward. I think the game plan is still to find swing long opportunities to manage passively and to only short when there's a top-10 mean reversion opp like an MSTR, SMCI, NVDA, FXI, or DJT. No scalping, even though I indulged in a bit of that later in the year.
